Comfortable, if the shoe fits - I ordered my normal 7.5 and returned it because the elastic on the heel pushed my foot forward and made the entire thing feel too small. The 8 was a bit big without socks on, but I ended up putting in some gel soles to make the fit tighter, but I definitely still felt the elastic. I think after a few more days in these shoes, they will feel very comfortable. Note - the sizing for this shoe is more like a sneaker than a flat - if you're like me and wear a smaller pump/flats/dress shoe size than sneaker size, you may need to go up a 1/2 size.
